Armed Forces Day 2026
On Saturday, Sheerness Town Council held a small and respectful Armed Forces Day service at the Sheerness Cenotaph.
Despite the very hot weather, veterans, our MP, councillors and residents came together to remember and honour those who have served, and those who continue to serve in our Armed Forces. It was an opportunity to reflect on the courage, commitment and sacrifice of our service personnel, while also recognising the invaluable support of veterans, reservists and military families.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, especially our veterans, our MP and councillors, who braved the heat to pay their respects.
We would also like to thank The Flower Company in Sheerness for once again providing a beautiful natural wreath for the town. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
We thank all those who have worn the uniform in service to our country, today and every day.
