Sheerness Town Council Highway Improvement Plan 2026

HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PLAN UPDATE

Sheerness Town Council continues to work with Kent County Council on our Highway Improvement Plan for Sheerness.

The plan identifies areas where residents and Councillors have raised concerns and where we would like to see improvements to local roads and pedestrian safety.

Our proposals include a number of locations across Sheerness where we have asked KCC to consider potential highway and safety improvements.

We know highways, speeding, crossings and road safety are important issues for many residents. We will continue to raise these concerns with KCC and will share further updates as proposals progress.

Please remember that Kent County Council is the highways authority and has responsibility for assessing and approving any changes to the highway.
