Kent Police Report June 2026
At last night’s Full Council meeting, PC Ali Honess provided an update on policing activity across Sheerness.
Kent Police continue to target nuisance e-bikes and e-scooters, with several vehicles seized following reports from residents. A nuisance e-bike linked to repeated issues around Tesco, McDonald’s and the High Street was also seized thanks to information from the public and CCTV footage.
Officers also reported continued action against anti-social behaviour involving catapults. A young person identified carrying a catapult near the canal was spoken to, with three catapults seized for destruction. Police have reiterated that this behaviour will not be tolerated.
There has been a reduction in reports of wildlife being harmed at The Fleet, which police attribute to increased patrols, public reporting, education work and additional CCTV. Officers will continue to monitor the area closely.
The Island PCSO Team is also continuing work to tackle anti-social behaviour around McDonald’s and Beachfields, with enforcement action already taken against several individuals causing issues.
