Great news for the Sheppey Support Bus
We are delighted to announce that we have received funding from Kent County Council’s Parish Council Winter Support Grant.
The purpose of the grant scheme allows Parish and Town Councils access to funding to help fund initiatives that support people in financial hardship.
Councillor Brian Spoor was thrilled to be able to donate this grant of £1500 to Sheppey Support Bus. They offer residents across the island who find themselves facing financial hardship, the opportunity to pay a monthly subscription in order to access high-quality, nutritious food, at greatly reduced prices. The Sheppey Support Bus also houses a community meeting space, providing a variety of services, such as citizen’s advice and debt management support.
