Community Grant

The following 9 organisations have received a share of an incredible £6450 to help them with their fantastic projects:

Age UK Sheppey, will use the grant to fund a film lunch club for over 50’s in Sheerness.

Sanctuary Supported Living supports young people aged 16-21. The grant will be used towards a Christmas-themed art workshop and celebration, and also a gift voucher for their members.

Citizens Advice Swale, will use the grant to continue to run their drop-in debt advice surgery in Sheerness.

Sheppey Rugby Club, will use the grant to help buy gym equipment for their members and community to use.

Hi-Kent to enable their hearing aid support clinics to run in Sheerness for another year.

SatedaCharity, will be putting the grant towards a recovery programme called Power 2 Change which provides counselling and support to women in Sheerness experiencing domestic abuse.

Sheppey Sea Cadets will be using the grant to purchase a burglar alarm and 2 infrared heaters for their unit.

Co-op Cobras FC will be purchasing new training kits for their U13’s team.

And Friendly Faces of Kent will use their grant to fund a new project called After Dark, supporting their members with issues they have going out in the dark.
