Community Grant Awards – Supporting Local Projects

Sheerness Town Council is pleased to announce the successful recipients of our £500 Community Grants, awarded to support a range of fantastic local projects making a real difference in our community:
✅ Reach Out and Recover Kent – Delivering four recovery-focused activities, including a cinema afternoon, quiz afternoon, arts and crafts session, and a guided walk of Bluetown.
✅ Sheppey Light Railway Greenway – Installing a second information board and additional signage to improve the walking and cycling route.
✅ Sheppey Sea Cadets – Upgrading workshop lighting to enhance safety and learning opportunities.
✅ Citizens Advice Swale – Replacing a laptop used to deliver vital outreach services.
✅ New Road U11s – Funding new training kits and equipment for young players.
✅ Hi-Kent – Providing free hearing clinics in Sheerness.
✅ SATEDA – Supporting domestic abuse drop-in clinics in Sheerness.
✅ The Isle of Sheppey Band – Funding alterations and updates to uniforms.
We’re proud to support these organisations and thank them for the valuable work they do for the Sheerness community.
